Tours

We are a small group of dedicated volunteers, whose passion is sharing the fascinating military, wartime and quarantine history of this little-known gem in your own backyard. All proceeds from our tours go towards ongoing restoration projects and community awareness.

What to expect on a tour:

Visit heritage-listed buildings.
Explore the original Isolation Hospital, learn from the displays and hear the staff and patients' amazing stories.
Enter the oldest crematorium in Australia.
Gain insight into a fascinating history from friendly and knowledgeable guides.
This is a walking tour. Those with limited mobility are encouraged to contact us before booking to discuss suitability and possible alternatives.

Want to join a public tour?

Every third Sunday of the month, we offer public tours for singles / couples / families.
2+ hour tour includes morning tea - $30pp

Full refunds, in accordance with trybooking’s refund procedure, will be available for those unable to participate on the day if cancellation is made by contacting FOWPRC up to 48 hours prior to the tour. This is easily done by using the yellow button on the event site, and within your confirmation email.
