Officer's In Charge (Caretakers) Remembrance Plaques

Gary Marsh from "Friends" has installed remembrance plaques beside all the trees that surround the Isolation Hospital and are in dedication to duty to all the Officers in Charge and their wives at the Quarantine Station. 1886 - 1979.

Isolation Hospital Anchor Memorial
Dedicated to: HMAT Boonah & HMAT Wyreema (WWI) and SS Suva (WWII)

The anchors pictured are from the Research Vessel "PAX"
and were donated by Earle Seubert and Gary Marsh to the
Friends of Woodman Point Recreation Camp, and will be dedicated as a memorial to the volunteer soldiers and nurses from the vessels
HMAT Boonah and the HMAT Wyreema who lost their lives at Woodman Point during the Influenza pandemic of 1918-1919, and those who died of Smallpox from the vessel "Suva" in 1943, during World War Two.

   

Lectern for the Isolation Hospital Interpretation Room

The document rest of the lectern, was made from the original floorboards from the Isolation Hospital. c1902.
The lectern was built by Shannon Joyner.

14th November 2007. "Friends" were successful in a Lotterywest Heritage Interpretation Grant to survey two known cemeteries at Woodman Point Regional Park.
