19th March 2011. Heritage & Memorial Tour by the Sisters of St. John of God with Members of the FOWPRC

A Heritage & Memorial Tour was conducted by the Friends of Woodman Point Recreation Camp for the Sisters of St. John of God, Fathers, Don and John from St. Patricks Church Fremantle, the Mayor of the City of Cockburn, Mr Logan Howlett and his wife Pat, Mrs June Poore and family, Gail Dodd, Gary Marsh and other members of the Friends group. The tour was arranged between Sister Eugenia and Earle Seubert, and took place after the Memorial Service that was held for Sister Barbara, who died of smallpox in the Observation Hospital on the 17th March 1930.

Mrs. Annelle Perotti, ( 2nd from left ) is a relation of Sister Rosa O'Kane and she and her family members can be seen here on a visit to Sister O'Kane's memorial in the Regional Park Woodman Point. Accompanying her on the tour were,

18th April 2010. Tour by social group. "Friends" initial Heritage Tour

12th April 2010. Visit by Mr. G.M. Griffiths and friends

"Reliving the memories". Mr. Griffiths was Third mate on the vessel "Empire Mist", and was recalling the 28th January 1944, when his vessel came under quarantine juresdiction off Fremantle during the war years. He was later to marry a local girl, Norah Deane, and settle in Western Australia. Also in the group was Jack Edwards, merchant navy veteren, and
brother of Hughie Edwards, decorated RAAF war hero and WA Governor.
